Continuing my exploration into things a little more 3D

This is a study for a larger work using layered panels. I really like how the added depth hints at the feel of the city. All of the images used were photographs I took during my last trip to New York. Below it is a detail shot taken from the side.

I received this letter in the mail a few days ago. The details as to when the show will be have yet to be made, but I'm excited nonetheless.

300 Plates 2012

Every year, Art Access, one of Utah's best places to see and learn about art, holds a fund-raiser called 300 Plates. This year 130 artists did one or more plates for the event. A "plate" is actually a 11" x 10" sheet of aluminum, steel, or plexiglass. The fundraising event was held tonight, but plates will be on display through June 7.
